Pablo Picasso (1881 – 1973) Spanish Artist
Clean – Simple – Zen
There is a french film about Picasso. They show him painting huge pictures. You can literally see during his work, how he eliminates unnecessary parts. The film is called “The Mystery of Picasso” or in french “Le Mystère du Picasso”.
Just one add-on about the Picasso film: It was directed by Henri-Georges Clouzot in 1956.
Klaus, thanks very much for the comments and the tip about the film. I will certainly look for it. (Et je le regarderai dans la version originale.) Years ago, I visited the Picasso Museum in Luzern, Switzerland. The highlight was a series of black and white photographs depicting his everyday life. He lived the way he painted – simply but with passion. And that simplicity always conveyed something much deeper, much more profound.
