    So the common corporate environment concept of holding meetings to try to come up with solutions to problems is….

      Sub-optimal? (That sounds like something you would read in minutes from a meeting.) Meetings could be structured much more constructively so as to come up with solutions, but that would require some pre-meeting work and a healthy dose of creativity.
