Yesterday, the United States celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. It is fitting that we take the time to reflect on Dr. King’s immortal speech, “I Have a Dream”, and why it remains as important as ever.

On 28 August 1963, Dr. King delivered the speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. to a crowd of over 200,000 people. Listening to it is time well spent.

Now that you’ve come this far, why not go a little farther and spend an additional seven minutes with Nancy Duarte and listen to her insightful analysis of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech and why it stands as one of the greatest in American history.
