In May 2009, I wrote my first post on this blog. Almost nine years to the day later, I have received my 3,000,000th visit.
My sincere thanks to everyone who has stopped by. I am glad that so many have found the blog useful and I am grateful for your support.
HI John,
Congratulations!! Well deserved.
Mom & Dad
Thanks, Mom! Thanks, Dad!

Congratulations, John! Your blog is a powerhouse, and I’m so glad you’re reaping the rewards for all your work over those long years. All the best for the next million!
(I’m reminded of the list of 10 defunct blogs for public-speakers, which I compiled a few years ago. For some reason, most of those seemed to stop posting in 2013. Must’ve been a hard year!)
Thank you, Craig. And congrats on your great work at Remote Possibilities. Always lots to learn from you.
Interestingly, you might want to update your post. I had a quick look and it seems that several of those blogs rose from the dead. A couple of them were active in 2016 or 2017 before stopping again. And some, like Presentation Expressions and Speaking about Presenting, show as being active as recently as March or April of this year.
I’m most disappointed about Six Minutes because that was a rock of the public speaking online world. I used to be in touch with Andrew Dlugan but have not been able to connect with him for some time.
Yes, I checked out the list when I posted my comment and saw there were a few miraculous resurrections among them! But I’m happy to leave the list as it stands, because it simply captured a moment in time (and it gets very few visitors anyway).
Well done John on the first 3 million visits. It’ll be no time at all till the next 3 million!
Thanks, Mel! Much appreciated. See you soon in Athens!
On October 2009 I joined Toastmaster to improve in my public speaking skills after I was unsuccessful at presenting my capstone project from my bachelor in civil engineering. On June of 2010 I delivered my first humorous speech and won at the club level thanks to your post “Analysis of your own humorous speech – evaluate your wife”.
Since then, I stop by your page daily to get inspired and learn more about public speaking.
John, I am very grateful for your page and your kindness in Manner of Speaking.
Sincerely,

Thank you so much for the kind comment, Luan. I really appreciate it. I am glad that you find the blog helpful and it makes me feel good to know that others find value in it. Well done on taking a step to improve your speaking skills and congratulations on your contest victory. These are small, but important, steps along the journey to become a better speaker. It is a journey that we are all on together. Keep on speaking and drop by the blog any time!
