Philip Pullman – English Writer
Hi John, I don’t know if you have ever heard Ed Tate speak, but I did last year at a conference. I think his success comes from his understanding that we love stories. He tells stories that are at once entertaining, and educational. I want to try to do the same.
Thank you for the comment. I have seen a number of Ed Tate’s speeches online and I agree with you about his storytelling abilities. In fact, in 2010, I was supposed to speak with Ed at a conference in Porto, Portugal. As fate would have it, it was at the same time as the volcano in Iceland erupted and Ed’s flight was cancelled. (I was more fortunate, coming from the other direction – Geneva.) So I am sorry that the opportunity never materialized.
Best of luck with your own stories. They are already there; now, just bring them to life.
